About Edgento

We build the tools engineers actually want.

Edgento is a small engineering studio based in India. We build custom products, SaaS platforms, and bespoke software for enterprises that need precision, in addition to publishing open-source developer tooling for the problems that keep us up at night.

How We Started

Born from a production bug, not a whiteboard session.

Edgento started in 2026 when we were building an AI agent pipeline for a client and discovered something alarming: LangGraph's native checkpointer was silently saving corrupted agent state to the database. The agent had hallucinated a negative hotel booking duration. The framework saved it anyway.

We spent two days looking for a drop-in solution. There wasn't one. So we built it — that became StateGuard, our first published open-source library.

That process — identifying a real gap, building precisely what's needed, and publishing it — became the template for everything Edgento does.

What We Do

Three things. Done at a level most studios cannot match.

01 — Bespoke Enterprise Software

End-to-end custom platforms built on Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL. We handle architecture, API design, database modeling, CI/CD, and deployment — not just the "front-end layer".

Custom SaaS · Web Platforms · Integrations

02 — AI Agent Engineering

We wire LangGraph and OpenAI into production-grade systems that handle real business logic — with proper state management, error handling, and rollback strategies. Not demos.

LangGraph · GPT-4o · SSE Streaming

03 — In-House Developer Tools

Problems we hit ourselves become libraries we publish. StateGuard is live on PyPI. More are in progress. We believe good tooling is a public good.

Open Source · PyPI · MIT Licensed

How We Work

01 — Precision over speed.

We would rather take two extra days and ship something we are proud of than ship fast and spend the next month patching it. Velocity matters, but not at the cost of correctness.

02 — We eat our own dog food.

Every tool we publish — including StateGuard — was born from a problem we hit ourselves. We do not build solutions for hypothetical users. We build them for ourselves, then open them up.

03 — No black boxes.

We write code that can be read, reasoned about, and handed over. Teaching-mode comments, clear architecture, and documentation that treats the reader as an engineer — not a ticket closer.

04 — Small surface area, deep expertise.

We do not take every project. We take projects where we can genuinely move the needle — complex distributed systems, AI-native architectures, and products that need to scale without falling apart.

Our Stack

We pick boring, proven technology for infrastructure. And sharp, new tools for the edges.

No chasing trends. Spring Boot and PostgreSQL for the backend because they work at scale. LangGraph and GPT-4o for AI because they are the best tools available right now.

The Team

Small by design. Deep by necessity.

We keep the team tight deliberately. Every person on an Edgento project is an engineer, not a coordinator.

AnuragFounder & Lead Engineer

Full-stack. Built StateGuard from scratch after hitting the LangGraph memory corruption bug in production.

Edgento CoreEngineering Team

A tight group of engineers and designers who share one standard: if you would not use it yourself, it does not ship.

Open Source

We give back to the ecosystem that built us.

Every internal tool that reaches a level of maturity and general applicability gets open-sourced. StateGuard is MIT licensed and free for commercial use. Always will be.
